Linked off of this page are scans of many of the church register records from Saint Boniface Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo, New York. The church was located at 124 Locust Street, and it closed in 1993. A brief history of the church up through 1914 is available here, with links to other historical resources being found below.

Our church register records are somewhat incomplete. The images are processed from microfilms of the church records kept at the Erie County Library, downtown Buffalo, New York. These images are made possible through the joint efforts of Bernard W. Patz and myself and have been utilized to help trace the origins of our early families. We provide them here for others to use.

Many of the records are hand-written in Latin, and so having a Latin dictionary handy is invaluable. Most of these entries were made by Rev. Ferdinand Kolb, who appears to have spelled many of the names phonetically. Although, many spelling variants for names occur, we remain indebted to him for his work.

The file sizes are large, and so patience is needed in downloading. The original microfiche film images are of variable quality, reflected in these web images.

We welcome your help in making our archives more complete.
