Michael Schlee was born on November 25, 1897 and was baptized as "Michael Bernard Schlia" on November 28, 1897, at Saint Boniface R.C. Church, 124 Locust Street, Buffalo, New York. The year of birth is confirmed by the 1900 Census.

On July 4, 1926, Michael married Eva Lee in Walkerville, Ontario, Canada. Eva -- born in Guelph, Ontario -- was a daughter of John and Annie (née Doran) Lee.

Michael passed away on February 24, 1953.
