Rose Augusta Rebescher
(1903 - 1979)


According to her baptismal records, Rose Augusta Rebescher was born on December 1, 1903. Rose's cemetery headstone also indicates her birth year to be 1903. According to her funeral mass card, however, Rose A. Rebescher was born on December 2, 1904 (the 1904 year record, if not the day, certainly is in error).

Rose was born in Buffalo, New York. Records provided by Geri Ellerbrock indicate that Rose was a nurse who trained at Father Baker's Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Lackawanna, NY. At times, Rose resided with her sisters Cecilia and Dorothy and their families. She never married.

Rose died in Buffalo on April 27, 1979. She is interred in the Rebescher family cemetery plot, Lot 22, Sec. 5, United German & French Cemetery (Pine Hill), Cheektowaga, NY.
